Tabernacle Stones Return to Swindon

After an absence of nearly 30 years, the stones that made up one of Swindon’s most distinctive buildings have returned to the Borough.

It took more than a week, and twenty heavy lorries, to deliver the hundreds of tonnes of Bath stone that used to make up the classical frontage of the Baptist Tabernacle for temporary storage at Wroughton airfield.
