Swindon's Neighbourhood Wardens are employed to work for and with council tenants and leaseholders on our housing estates.
Our main role is to engage with local communities and promote respect for people, property and the environment, and to encourage resident community involvement.
What we do
Neighbourhood Wardens are a highly visible and approachable presence on your estates. Our broad and varied role includes:
- Participating in community projects
- Removing litter, fly tipping, and graffiti
- Safely disposing of abandoned used needles
- Tackling anti-social behaviour
- Inspecting communal areas of block of flats monthly
- Helping tenants and leaseholders to access other organisations and services
- Communicating with all tenants and leaseholders about community issues or problems
- Helping resolve local disputes
