Community Grants Awarded for 2007/08

Applications for one-year funding were invited in August 2006 against the following two funding categories:

Promoting Equality

Projects or activities which promote equal life chances, address prejudice and discrimination, and contribute to 'diversity' by specifically addressing one or more the following five equality areas:

• Black and minority ethnic people
• Young and older people
• Disability
• Women
• Gay, lesbian, bi-sexual or trans-gendered people

Neighbourhood-based Community Organisations

Local representative forums that do not own or lease buildings (e.g. Community Councils, Community Associations, Residents Associations) may apply for administration costs (e.g. room hire, insurance, newsletters, stationery, out of pocket volunteer expenses etc).
