Plas Pencelli Outdoor Education Centre

Plas PencelliSet in the spectacular scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park in the heart of Wales, Plas Pencelli is a very well-equipped outdoor education centre jointly run by Swindon Borough Council and Wiltshire County Council.

Established over 30 years ago, the centre offers a mix of outdoor activities and field studies within 17 acres of grounds.

Visitors can choose from a wide range of activities including climbing, canoeing, cross-country skiing and caving; and study courses to GCSE and ‘A' level in Geography, Biology and Environmental Studies.

Plas PencelliThe truly exceptional facilities and comfortable accommodation combine to create a uniquely positive atmosphere.

The centre encompasses an 18th Century country house, a separate self-contained lodge, superb camping facilities and state-of-the-art educational facilities.

Plas Pencelli enjoys a well-deserved reputation for its educational excellence. But it is much more than that. Thousands of young people from Swindon and Wiltshire will testify that it is also a great place to visit. And you should not be surprised to hear many of them describe it as 'inspiring'.
