This section provides a comprehensive range of building-related services including design, arranging contracts and supervision of construction works.

The Building Design and Contracts

This team provides architectural services, prepare designs, feasibility studies and capital bids for funding building projects, cost plans, arrange contract procurement and administer and supervise building contracts.

The Building Surveying Team

This team monitors the condition of all council-owned buildings (excluding houses for rent) and organises planned programmes of work for repairs and maintenance, as well as day-to-day and emergency repairs. The team is responsible for premises management of the Civic Offices and related buildings.

The Energy Unit

The unit is responsible for formulation and implementation of the council’s energy management policies

Public Consultation

Information providing details for any public consultation for projects managed by Technical Services will be provided, as appropriate. Currently, there are no projects requiring a Public Consultation.

Approved Contractor Application

Swindon Borough Council uses a panel of approved suppliers when entering into contracts for building works. If you wish to be considered as an Approved Contractor, please download and complete an Approved Contractor Questionnaire.
