Environmental Enforcement

Service Details

Environmental enforcement is primarily about protecting the environment within the Borough of Swindon and making it a better place in which to live, work and visit. We deal with issues relating to the enforcement of environmental legislation for animal welfare and environmental protection … in effect all the areas where concern for the environment is the fundamental consideration.

To do this we investigate complaints of alleged nuisances ranging from noisy neighbours and barking dogs to industrial noise from large factories, fly tipping and fly posting ... and much more.

Where these matters are brought to our attention, we will investigate the situation and take the necessary action to remedy the problem as soon as possible.

How to Report a Problem

If you consider the problem to be an immediate danger or health risk, please telephone the StreetSmart team at the Swindon Direct Contact Centre on:

  • 01793 445501 (Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm; Saturday 9am to 1pm)
  • 01793 466453 (All other times).
