Work Experience

Arranging a Work Experience Placement

You can register your interest in a work experience placement in one of two ways:

Apply Online

Follow the link to complete an online work experience placement registration form.

Download a Registration Form

Follow the link to download and print a copy of the work experience placement registration form (PDF - 84Kb).

When complete, please send the form to:

Human Resources Department
Swindon Borough Council
5th Floor - Brunel Tower
Canal Walk
Swindon
SN1 1LH.

What Happens Next

On receipt of your Register of Interest Form we will endeavour to source a suitable work placement for you. You will be notified of the outcome within 10 working days.

If you are successful, you will be contacted directly by the relevant department or Human Resources. In most cases, you will be asked to attend an informal interview. The purpose of this interview is to give you the opportunity to see the work environment and to find out more about the placement before you start. It also enables the supervisor to prepare a worthwhile programme for you.
