Swindon has many out-of-town shopping centres with large stores selling a range of goods and services covering virtually anything you might need. All of the out-of-town centres have extensive car parking facilities.
To the North of Swindon
Located in the Abbey Meads/Priory Vale area of north Swindon is the most recent addition to Swindon’s out-of-town complexes. The Asda complex is one of Europe’s largest superstores. This vast shopping centre covers virtually all shopping needs under one roof: food, clothes, home improvements materials and much more are all readily available. The complex also includes a multitude of retailer outlets including NEXT, JJB, Home Base, Borders, Comet and many others including Travel Agents, Estate Agents and even a library.
To the East of Swindon
Towards east Swindon is the Greenbridge Retail and Leisure Park. Covering several acres, the facilities include large-store facilities for a range of household brands like Boots, Mothercare, Argos, PC World, Currys and JJB - to name but a few! The complex also has a range of leisure activites such as a Empire Cinemas 12-screen multiplex cinema, a Gala Bingo Club, a private health and fitness club and many restaurants and fast food outlets.
To the West of Swindon
The West Swindon Centre is in the heart of Swindon’s western development area, off Tewkesbury Way. The centre boasts a wide range of stores and retail outlets supplying anything from food to soft furnishings and from pharmacy supplies to jewellery.
There are just too many shops and retail outlets to name every one individually. However, among them are many household names, incuding an Asda supermarket, Blockbusters, Clinton Cards, Johnson's Dry Cleaners and Martins Newsagents. There is also a number of estate agents, banks, a Post Office, hairdressers and food outlets including cafes, a public house and a McDonalds restaurant.
The centre is adjacent to the Link recreation and sports centre, which has an ice skating rink and swimming pool amongst a range of other sporting and recreational facilities. Just a short walk away is the West Swindon Leisure Park with its own Cineworld multiplex cinema, ten-pin bowling centre and choice of restaurants.
Also towards the west of Swindon are the Mannington and Bridgemead complexes. Situated on Great Western Way and Wootton Bassett Road, near Junction 16 of the M4 motorway, these complexes include a range of large stores including, Allied Carpets, DFS, MFI, Dreams Bed Centre and Harvey's Furniture store.
