Little People in a Big House
Key Stages 1 & 2
90 minutes £4.50 per pupil
Available Tuesday to Friday (throughout the whole year)
Pupils take on the roles of family members and servants of the Bolingbroke family to learn about what it would have been like for a child living at Lydiard House in the Victorian period. Choose the focus of your session from Toys or Everyday Life and investigate traditional toys and everyday objects in an authentic location.

The Victorian Country House and Garden
Key Stage 2
120 minutes £5.50 per pupil
Available Tuesday to Friday (April to September)
Pupils discover Lydiard House, the Walled Garden, and the Ice House, and use them to reveal clues to what life was like on a busy working estate in the Victorian Period. Please note that this session now involves an extra trail around the walled garden.

The Victorian Country House Christmas

All day event (10.30am - 2pm) £6.50 per pupil
Available: Tuesday to Friday, from 29 November - 16 December*

Join Lady Bolingbroke as she prepares for the festive season! Pupils will discover the stories behind the traditions of Christmas, and find out how and why the Victorians invented Christmas as we know it! The day includes role play, music and dancing, as well as time to make that all important Christmas Decoration!
