Emlyn Square Central Temporary footway closure in Emlyn Square and Bristol Street to enable safety works. The footways affected will only be those that surround the former Mechanics Institute. Pedestrians should use alternative footways. 02.07.10 July 2011
Emlyn Square Central Due to safety works at the former Mechanics Institute there will be a number of road closures in the area. Emlyn square east, between Oxford Street and London Street (alternative route via Farnsby St, Commercial Rd, Princes St, Fleming Way, Holbrook Way and Bridge St), Emlyn square west between Bathampton St and Bristol St (diversion via Exeter St, Church Place), Bristol Street between Emlyn Square west and Emlyn Square east, diversion via Bristol St, Church Pl, Park Lane, Faringdon Rd, Farnsby St, Commercial Rd, Princes St, Fleming Way, Holbrook Way, Bridge St.The one way order on London Street will be suspended and there will be a suspension of the bus lane in Church Place to accommodate the diversion routes 13.09.10 02.10.10

Footpaths 59 and 60 Old Town and Lawn Temporary closure to enable contractors to undertake construction of new road. Full length of footpaths from Old Town rail path running south westerly to the parish boundary. An alternative route for footpath 60 will run along the canal tow path from Beavens bridge in a north easterly direction with a route onto the Old Town rail path, where it will link to the continuation of footpath 35 Wroughton via footpath 39 Wroughton which runs along the road leading to South Leaze cottages.
