Registering to Vote

Why You Should Register

  • You can vote in any local, national and European election
  • If you register now you won’t miss out on voting if a snap election is called
  • You can more easily get credit or loans – companies check the electoral register and if you aren’t on it, you may be refused credit
  • You can opt out of the edited register so companies can’t buy your details

You are legally required to return the registration form or confirm details via the Internet, phone or SMS.

How to Register

Open the registration form sent to you by post – Register of Electors 2009.

If you have no changes, you can register by phone, Internet or SMS.
