Special Exhibition: Lydiard Revealed

From 7th May

This year, Lydiard House Museum is celebrating 70 years since it opened to the public with a new special exhibition.

Once a medieval hunting lodge, Lydiard House evolved into a grand Palladian mansion before falling into disrepair in the early 20th century. Saved by Swindon Corporation in 1943, it has since been carefully restored.

Lydiard Revealed uncovers hidden details of the house and park, showcasing rarely seen objects and striking photography from the attic, cellar, and tower rooms.

Lydiard House Museum is open Wednesday – Sunday, 11am – 4pm (last admission 3.30pm). Admission costs £6.70 for an adult and £3.65 for a child. Under 3s go free! Family tickets also available.
