Our versatile spaces are ideal for special occasions, celebrations and parties. We can also support you with post-funeral gatherings and memorial events.
Whatever the occasion, we can help you to celebrate it in style and create memorable moments for you and your family and friends – a milestone birthday, a special anniversary, a family reunion, or a post christening celebration. Whether you are planning an evening dinner, a luxurious reception with drinks and canapes, or a private party, we can help you create an unforgettable event.
In our Luxborough Suite, we can offer private dining for up to 80 people or a private party for up to 100 people. A licenced bar is right next door in our lounge, where you can enjoy a selection of canapes or a drinks reception for added luxury. In summer, an adjoining patio area with outdoor seating is also available.
Why not stay overnight with us after your event?
Access to the Luxborough for a special occasion is from 10.00am until 12 midnight, which gives you the opportunity to personalise the space. You could provide your own flowers, helium balloons, battery-powered fairy lights, banners, LED tea lights or candles, and photo displays for a milestone celebration. We do have some rules, but not too many!
Please always check with us before engaging external providers. We always require a copy of their public liability Insurance, a method statement and a risk assessment of operational processes and safety procedures. We also require PAT and electronic safety certificates for any electrical items brought or supplied to the venue.

Accessibility
The Luxborough Suite, the adjoining lounge and the private dining rooms on the ground floor are accessible, although assistance is required to open doors.
Parking
There are different options for parking for people attending special occasions.
Firstly, there is pay and display parking for all visitors to Lydiard Park.
For guests staying overnight in The Lydiard House Hotel, day and overnight parking until 11.00am the following day is included in the room rate.
Finally, to make parking easy for guests for functions and special occasions, we can arrange “parking buyouts” according to your needs if necessary. We can discuss this further when you make an enquiry.
Guests for functions and special occasions should use the Hay Lane entrance to Lydiard Park and follow signs to Conference Centre parking. The car park is alongside St Mary’s Church and close to the Lydiard House Hotel.
The postcode for your SatNav is SN5 3PA, but guests also need to add ‘Hay Lane’ to the address. Otherwise the SatNav will guide you to the Hook Street entrance to Lydiard Park, which is on the opposite side of the grounds and a longer walk to the hotel.
How to find us
Catering
We can prepare the ideal food and drink selection for any occasion. The menus will be based around fresh produce and top quality ingredients, however big or small your party.
We offer a wide range of options from light finger buffets, delicious buffet lunches and platters, to cream teas, stylish canapes and sumptuous evening dinners.
No later than two weeks prior to your event, we will need your final numbers, and menu choices, as well as details of any dietary requirements e.g. vegan, gluten free, and specifics of any intolerances and allergies e.g. dairy, nuts. For formal dining events, seating plans are also required at the same time.
Please note that we are unable to accommodate external catering within Lydiard Park Hotel.
